TABC Announces Appointment of Major Mark Menn to Oversee San Antonio Regional Office
SAN ANTONIO – The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission has appointed Major Mark Menn as Regional Enforcement Supervisor for the San Antonio Regional Office. The San Antonio office covers TABC's Region 5, which includes San Antonio and the South Texas border region.
Menn succeeds Major Ricardo Jauregui, who retired in 2018. He previously served as Enforcement Supervisor at TABC's Lubbock Regional Office.
"Mark has been a proven leader at TABC's Lubbock Office, and he was a natural choice to lead in San Antonio," said Robert Saenz, TABC Deputy Executive Director for Enforcement. "His law enforcement expertise and his dedication to working with our local law enforcement partners will bring continued success for TABC's public safety mission in South Texas."
Menn joined TABC in 1996. He served for eight years as an agent at the Houston, Corpus Christi and Galveston offices before earning promotion to Sergeant in 2003. He served a further four years in Houston before his promotion to Lieutenant in 2007. In 2011, Menn was promoted to Captain of the Lubbock Office, followed by his promotion to Major in 2014.
Menn holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate as well as the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Basic Instructor, Firearms Instructor, and Spanish Language certifications. He earned an associate's degree in theater from Bee County College in 1991, followed by a bachelor's degree in English from Southwest Texas State University.
