INDUSTRY NOTICE: It's time to conduct your 2025 compliance report(s)

To: Holders of BW, BB, BC, BE, BF, BG, BQ, D, G, MB, N, NB, NE, P, Q, W, and X licenses and permits

Re: Required compliance reporting for TABC-licensed businesses with Texas locations has started

What: You must conduct a 2025 compliance report (i.e., self-inspection) for each of your listed TABC-licensed or permitted locations in Texas if the primary license or permit was originally issued in 2023 or before. No compliance report is due in 2025 for licenses and permits originally issued in 2024 or after. Note: While the top of this email lists licenses and permits associated with your email address that must submit a 2025 compliance report, it might not list all such licenses and permits for which a compliance report is due. To view all such permits and their reporting status, log in to AIMS.

Why: Compliance reporting helps us confirm that your business is following the law. Failing to file a report on time could cause a visit from TABC, an administrative warning, or suspension or cancellation of the license.

When: Start and finish your compliance report(s) between Jan. 1, 2025, and June 30, 2025.

How to file a compliance report

When you or the person you designate are ready to begin conducting a compliance report:

  • Use an Android or Apple mobile device.
  • Open either the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browser app (download either of these browsers for free from your device’s app store). Do not use any other browser app (like Safari), and do NOT use any TABC mobile app that you previously downloaded.
  • Log in to AIMS.
  • Select the business entity for which you’re filing a compliance report.
  • From the entity’s dashboard, click the Compliance Reporting button.
  • Select the reporting year 2025.
  • You’ll first answer a series of questions about the business’s operations (this part can be done at or away from the business premises).
  • You'll then be prompted to take certain photos at the premises (you must be present on the premises to complete this portion of the report).

By June 30, 2025: You must submit a compliance report for each of your licensed or permitted locations in Texas if the primary license was originally issued in 2023 or before. (No compliance report is due in 2025 for licenses originally issued in 2024 or after.)

Additional help

  1. Use the proper web browser to access AIMS: Use either the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browser apps. AIMS will not work on other web browsers. Visit your device's app store to download either of those browser apps onto your device for free before logging in to AIMS.
  2. Join AIMS: If you do not already have an AIMS account, you must first create one. Learn how on the How To Use AIMS page. Note: License holders who are first-time users of AIMS must also claim their business within the system — visit How To Use AIMS.
  3. Make sure you can access your business in AIMS: License holders and those managing compliance reports for the business should log in to AIMS and confirm they can access each AIMS account associated with each business they represent.
  4. Assign the correct user permissions in AIMS: License holders should ensure that they or the person(s) managing compliance reports for the business are labeled as a "Prime" or "Administrator" user.
  5. Designate other users to file compliance reports on your behalf: “Prime” and “Administrator” users may choose to designate others to file compliance reports on their behalf. To do this, identify the name and email address of each person who will complete a compliance report for your business(es) and then add these individuals as users with compliance reporting permissions for each of their assigned locations. The video tutorial below guides you through the process.
  6. Verify that each licensed or permitted location has all required signs posted on the premises before filing a compliance report: Your business must display its license and other required signs on the premises in the proper locations. This is a common mistake that causes non-compliance. You can print your license from your AIMS account and you can review and print your other required signs from the Sign Requirements page.
