David Whitt

David Whitt began his law enforcement career in 1984 as an officer with the Houston Police Department. Although Whitt worked across several divisions, he spent most of his HPD career assigned to the department's investigative divisions. He retired from the Houston Police Department in 2009.
Whitt joined TABC in February 2013 and served as an agent, sergeant and lieutenant in the Houston region. He has also served as lieutenant in the Special Investigations Unit, captain for Special Investigations/TRACE and major of the Investigations Bureau.
Whitt holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate, Instructor Proficiency Certificate, and Field Training Officer Certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
