Antonio Mireles

Antonio “Tony” Mireles joined TABC as the agency’s director of Government Relations in May 2024. In this role, he performs legislative and consultative work leading up to and during Texas’ biennial Legislative sessions. Mireles also ensures that the agency executes its statutory duties with all stakeholders, promotes transparency and public trust, conducts proactive engagements, communicates clearly and assists with stakeholder issues.  

Originally from Fort Worth, Mireles graduated from the University of Missouri in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Before coming to TABC, he was a chief of staff in the Texas House of Representatives for five years. Mireles started working in the Texas Legislature in 2017, first as a legislative aide, then as legislative director, before becoming chief of staff in 2019. 

Mireles is also a graduate student at Texas State University, pursuing a master’s degree in public administration.
